[1]. [2]. (a) CO2 = CO + O2 – 283 KJ, here CO2 is used in cycle, CO = 283,000 * 0.004 /3.6/28 = USD 11.2 /ton CO. (b)   CO + H2O = CO2 + H2 – 3 KJ, negligible, here H2 -free, if CO2 (mol) = CO (mol)., or CO2 = 11.2 * 28 / 44 = USD 7.1 / ton CO2 here.. (c) CO2 (from the air) + 4H2 = CH4 + 2H2O + 254 KJ. CH4 = 1144 kwh/ton CO2 * 0.004 * 44 /16 = USD 12.4 /ton CH4, and 254,000 * 0..25 energy efficiency heat in electricity = USD 0.05 /kwh local tariff /3.6/16 =   USD 55/ton CH4, and a net profit is 55 – 12.6 = USD 42.4/ton CH4.   Such technology extracts from the air one mol CO2 only for a mol of CH4 produced free with a net profit USD 42.6/ton CH4....
