Resume:

H2 = 9.2 UScent / kg, CH4 = USD25 / 1000m3, CH2 = USD 4 / bbl the all by OPEX.

CO2 / H2 = 44 / (2*3) = (7.3 ton CO2) / (1ton H2) + 28 / (2*3) = 4.7ton CO / 1 ton H2 -valuable by-product

C/H2 = (2*12) / 6 = 4tonC/1tonH2

CO2/CH4 = ((4/3 - 1) * 44) / 16 = 0.91 tonCO2 / 1ton CH4

C/CH4 = (2 * 12) / 16 = 24 / 16 = 1.5tonC / 1ton CH4

150 * 10^9 m3 CH4 (for Germany) * USD25/1000m3 OPEX * 2 = USD 8 * 10^9 / USD 470 * 10^9 – federal budget / USD 4 * 10^12 GDP

 

Abstract:

2C + H2O = CH2 + CO -131 kJ, at T > 460 grad.C

2C + 3H2O = CH2 + 2H2O + CO = 3H2 + CO2 + CO  - 355 kJ.

H2 = (2 *12 * USD 120 /ton C– 44 * USD 30 / ton CO2– 28 * USD 50/ton CO) = USD 160 / 6 = USD 27/ ton H2;

((355 * 10^6 kJ * 0.004 USD/kwh) / (3600 sec.* (3H2= 6)) = USD 65/ton H2,

And totally 27 + 65 = USD 92 /ton H2 = UScent 9.2/ kg.

 

CO2 + 4 H2 = CH2 +2H20 + 254 kj.

(1144 kwh/ton (CO2) * 44 * USD 0.004 /kwh + 8 * USD 92/ton H2) /16 = USD 45/ ton CH4.

((254 * 10^6 kj / (3600 sec.  * 16)) * USD 0.03 per kwh * 0.3 energy efficiency heat in electricity = USD 10.0 for selling.

So totally

CH4 = 45 – 10 = USD 35/ton CH4 = USD 25 /1000 m3.

CH4 – H2 = CH2 = (16 * 35 – 2 * 92) /14 = USD 26.8 /ton CH2 = USD 4 /bbl
