Judbarovski variant of Sabatier process to produce CH4 domestically and cheaply

Abstract

C + H2O = CO + H2 – Syngas of Fischer-Tropsch process.

4 C +4 H2O = 4 CO + 4H2, combined with reversible Boudouard reaction – 2CO = C +CO2 at mild conditions, so

4C + 4 H2O = 2 C + 2 CO2 + 4 H2, and with Sabatier reaction – CO2 + 4H2 = CH4 + 2H2O, so totally

2 C + 2 H2O = CH4 + CO2 + 108.0 kJ, created by 0.275 C combustion in the air, can be summarized for economics estimation in

2.275 C + 2 H2O = CH4 + 1.275 CO2.

Being supposed domestic cost USD 100.0/ /ton of C for Central Europa, CH4 is 2.275 * 12 * 100 / 16  = USD 170/ ton CH4, so  USD 120/ 1000 m3 .

If CO2 is USD 30 /ton, so CH4 is USD 46.0 /1000 m3
